My girlfriend, best friend and myself are planning on moving down in 2023. We want to rent a nicer house for $1200 a month in a safe area until we buy or build. Is this a pipe dream?

Furnished 3 bedroom for $1,200 is a bit of a dream. I am assuming you would like air conditioning also. $1,500 would be a good deal

That probably depends on location. In 2021 we rented a nice 2/2 furnished house in Calabash Bight for $750. Just one lot back from the water, A/C in both bedrooms, big wrap-around porch, etc. Getting there was a bear, but the price was right! Best wishes for your successful move to the island where dreams really do come true!
