Because parts are readily available; many go on sale here from anywhere between $6,000-$10,000 USD and the mechanics on the island know how to repair and maintain. Dont buy Jeep. Toyotas are also popular here for the same reasons. You can find good used cars from the AVIS store here or the KIA store here on the island. If you cannot acquire what you want here then a trip to the mainland may be your best bet. If it’s a NEW car you seek to buy then the mainland is best. Unless you decide on a KIA which has a dealership here on the island.
