What’s the deal with these far too tinted windshields here? My wife and I arrived yesterday staying in West Bay this week and rented from the airport a car with incredibly dark windshield. I thought this was unusual but then I seen a lot of other local vehicles with the same hardcore tint. Fine for driving around a sunny day but at night it absolutely sucks and crimps plans to drive and spend the eve around West Bay businesses. Any safety concerns with local taxis?

I’ve heard two good explanations:
- Security. The fewer others can see into your vehicles, the better.
- Cooling. The darker the tint, the cooler the interior of the vehicle.
Any of these sound like plausible explanations?
