I am considering moving to Roatan in about a year when I retire. I am recently divorced and am wondering what the “dating scene” is for single men in their early 60’s. How large is the expat community over 50 and is it composed mostly of couples? Thanks, Ian

I can’t tell you about any dating scene but there is a HUGE expat population that primarily consists of folks over 50. These folks have daily, weekly social events at various venues throughout the islands, mostly bars and restaurants. Just go hang out with them and let nature … and the rum whisk you away somewhere over the rainbow.

You just need one solid prospect Amigo…and there is enough density on Roatán for you to find one prospect. Add to that a decerning mix of local suiters and you’ll live happily ever after.
