I’m looking for some guidance around tipping related to various service positions (wait staff, drivers, taxi, dive staff, any other roles people can think of). What is customary? A percentage of the total bill/fee? A few dollars over the fee? What do folks do?

Hi! We tip 15-20% just like we do here at home (US). I don’t think we have ever given less than 15% and we sometimes give more than 20% when we feel they can really benefit from it. Tips are very appreciated by the locals. We tip this way for servers, and drivers (land and water). We also tip any service providers we use - luggage, maintenance workers, etc. Pretty much anyone that helps us. And, we hand out dollars to kiddos when we see them too.
